How to improve a TikTok hook

Work on your video hook with Prisme: a specific promise, alternative openings and consistency with the rest of the script.

Start with the actual content

A hook is the opening sentence or element that gives a reason to keep watching. It should promise something the video actually delivers. Provide your current opening and the passage that fulfils its promise.

Request focused alternatives

Example: “Here is my opening: I will show you three photo settings. The video explains how to avoid dark indoor photos. Suggest three hooks for beginners while keeping this promise.”

Compare an opening built around a problem, a demonstration and a specific question. For this topic, “Your indoor photo is too dark? Look at this setting” describes an observable outcome. This is an example of wording, not a performance promise.

Choose and test in a video

Keep the opening that matches the first shot and the content. Remove introductions that delay the answer. Evaluate the video using your own results: retention, comments and the intended action. No hook guarantees virality; the topic, visuals and the rest of the video also matter.
